The College of Charleston EMS is hosting an EMT-Basic class on the College of Charleston Campus from August 26, 2008 - December 4, 2008. Classes are being held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm to 10:00pm as well as four Saturdays from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Registration for this course is already closed, but we hope to run another class during the Spring semester. If you are interested in becoming an EMT before then please contact the institutions below for more information on current class offerings.

If you are currently certified at an Emergency Medical Technician in another state and wish to obtain reciprocity in South Carolina you will need to submit a reciprocity application as per SC DHEC regulations. In many cases this will also require completing a course on IV Maintenance and Intubation if this training was not completed in your state. The training centers listed above may be contacted to obtain this training.
